I'm a private practice psychiatrist in
Evansville, Indiana, specializing in the treatment of adult and geriatric patients.
I have particular interests in the treatment of major depression, panic disorder, and
obsessive compulsive disorder.
I graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1987, and completed my psychiatric residency training at University of Louisville in 1991, where I also did a fellowship in clinical drug studies. I am board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. In addition to my outpatient practice on St. Mary's campus, I treat inpatients at St. Mary's Medical Center here in Evansville, and assist MediSphere Medical Research Center with clinical drug studies.
In addition to my clinical duties, I am also Chairman of St. Mary's Department of Psychiatry, and District Branch Liaison for the Psychiatric Research Network of the American Psychiatric Association.
With all the recent changes in the health care industry, many of my colleagues have opted to become hospital employees, or employees of practice management firms. I'm proud to have remained in private practice, where I'm free to make my own business and clinical decisions, without having to answer to someone else about my style of patient care. (Which is the reason that I'm more likely than not to be wearing jeans to work. I'm here to care for patients, not impress them with my wardrobe.)
At this website, you'll find more about me and my practice. Look around, get to know me and my staff, and if you or your family has a need for psychiatric care, I hope you'll consider calling us!
